Education Provision for Children and Young People with Vision Impairment in Wales, 2023

This report sets out information provided on the structure, organisation and funding of the 22 Local Authority Vision Impairment Services, their current caseloads, habitation services, and understanding of the new Curriculum Framework for Children and Young People with Vision Impairment (CFVI). This is to examine to what extent children and young people with vision impairment in Wales are currently receiving the level and type of support they need to develop their independence, access education and realise their potential. This report also examines the provision of Qualified Teachers of children and young people with Vision Impairment (QTVIs) in schools across Wales.
