Updating the evidence about sight loss and mental health from 2016 onwards

Summary

What does the literature say about the mental health of people with a vision impairment and the impact of counselling? Five electronic databases were searched in September 2021. The databases included ProQuest Dissertations and Theses, CINAHL, Scopus, PsycArticles and PubMed. Studies that fitted the inclusion criteria were screened. A preliminary narrative synthesis of included studies and the associations between vision impairment, mental health and counselling was completed.
